Event Description

“From Problems to Possibilities”
Participants will be provided with a descriptive and challenging problem statement. Their task is to analyze the problem, design an innovative web-based solution, and present it before the jury.

Date: 14-15 September, 2025

Venue: GEC WC Campus

Note: This is a solution presentation event – no coding or live development is required.

How To Participate

  • Students must register in advance to participate in the event.
  • Only registered participants/teams with a valid college ID will be eligible to compete.
  • Participation can be individual or in teams (Min. 1 member, Max. 3 members).

Rules & Guidelines

  • Each participant/team will receive the problem statement at the event.
  • Participants will be provided with blank Vortex 3.0-themed PowerPoint presentations.
  • Participants must present their proposed web solution in front of the jury within the given time frame.
  • Solutions should be innovative, practical, and well-structured.
  • Teams may use presentations, diagrams, or mockups to explain their solution.
  • Plagiarism or copying existing solutions will lead to disqualification.
  • MS PowerPoint must be used to prepare the final presentation.
  • Canva / AI-generated PPT is strictly prohibited.
  • The decision of the jury panel will be final and binding.

Judging Criteria

  • Innovation & Creativity: How unique is the solution?
  • Feasibility: Can it be practically implemented?
  • Presentation & Clarity: How well the idea is explained?
  • Impact: How effectively does it solve the problem?

Prizes and Awards

Prizes will be awarded based on the results. Exciting prizes and certificates for winners and runners-up.

Technical Issues

  • Participants experiencing technical issues must immediately inform the event organizers.
  • Participants are responsible for ensuring their laptops and equipment are in working condition before the event.
  • Time lost due to personal technical issues may not be compensated.

Equipment and Settings

  • Participants must bring their own laptops and essential accessories (charger, mouse, etc.).
  • The presentation must be prepared using MS PowerPoint or Google Slides.
